A clear, ranked plan for your business

Stop guessing about AI.

You want to use AI in your business. You just don't know where it's worth it, or even what will actually work. We look at how your business runs, an honest AI readiness assessment, and I tell you plainly where to put it to use.

A hand-drawn sketch. On the left, an overwhelmed business owner surrounded by AI ideas on cards — 'chase late invoices', 'an AI chatbot, somehow', 'predict cashflow', 'AI for... everything?'. In the middle, the cards are sorted at a table. On the right, three labelled trays: 'do this first', 'maybe later', and 'leave it'.

You might be searching for an AI consultant. Most are sold on AI before they've seen your business, so everything starts to look like a job for it. I work the other way round. I start with how your business actually runs, and I'll tell you where AI isn't worth it as readily as where it is. That's the map, not a pitch.

What happens

Most of the work is mine, not yours. We start with a call, then usually a workshop with your team, with time in between for me to go away and make sense of it. A few follow-up questions, then I write it all up into a map.

Who it's for

You want to use AI well, not just for the sake of it, and you'd rather be selective than chase every new tool.

You don't need to be technical, but it works best when your business already uses at least some software systems.

What you walk away with

Not a vague sense that you ought to be doing something with AI, but a real answer in writing, an AI audit specific to your business rather than a generic readiness checklist.

  • Where AI will help, ranked by impact.
  • An honest view of where it won't, and where it'd put your data or IP at risk.
  • A plan of action, starting with what matters most.

A fixed £2,750, not a day rate. The written map is yours to keep, whatever you decide to do next. If you go on to build any of it with me, I take the fee off the price.

I'm Laurie, a contract CTO in London. The map usually points to a few things worth doing; if it does, here's how I'd take them on. I've built AI into real products and run my own company with it, which is exactly why I'll tell you where it isn't worth your money.

Let's find the few places AI is genuinely worth it for you.
